Thursday, March 22nd

The Christkindl Festival was held in downtown Black River Falls Saturday to celebrate old-world Christmas traditions.

Throughout the day, horse-drawn trolley rides, food, hot drinks and warming kettles were available to everyone in attendance at the festival.

A pancake breakfast was offered early in the morning by Donna K’s Bar and Family Diner.

Santa was even in town to take down notes on what children wanted for Christmas.

Christmas music was heard throughout the day by the Black River Falls High School Choir and the Black River Falls Community Band.

Bake sales, Santa letter writing activities, Sand Creek Brewery Tours and many other events were also a part of the day’s festivities.
