Michael B. Stetzer, 66, of Mindoro, passed away Thursday, July 12, 2018, at his home.


He was born April 8, 1952, in Sparta, Wis., to Burnhum and Eleanor (Pfaff) Stetzer. On October 26, 1974, he married Nancy Danielson. Michael worked for Vern Dale Farms from 1970 until 1976. He then worked for the La Crosse County Highway Department from 1976 until his retirement in 2008.
Survivors include his wife, Nancy; two sons, Daniel (Chelsey) and their children, Emma and Louis and Timothy (Carley) and their children, Holden and Jensen; and one brother, Gerald (Kathleen).
A celebration of life will be from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. Saturday, July 21, 2018, at the Mindoro Lion’s Club Sheter.

Joanne A. Olson, 87, of Sparta, died Tuesday, July 3, 2018 at Gundersen Health System, La Crosse.


A memorial service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, July 19, at the Lanham-Schanhofer Funeral Home, Sparta, with Chaplin Priscilla Hemmersbach officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Sparta.

Family and friends are invited to gather at the funeral home on Thursday, from 10 a.m. until the time of services.

Memorials may be directed to the Sparta United Methodist Church and/or the AS/AP Cat Shelter, Sparta.

The Lanham-Schanhofer Funeral Home, Sparta, is assisting the family with arrangements.

Kenneth Eldon Williamson, 44, of Town of Manchester passed into Gods arms, at his home on July 10, 2018.

Celebration of Life will be held 1:00 p.m., Monday, July 16, 2018 at Torgerson’s Funeral Home with Warren Foster officiating.

Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. until time of service at the funeral home on Monday.

Torgerson’s Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Patricia L. Hoeltzer, age 71, of Independence, formerly of Whitehall, died on Monday, July 2, 2018.

Memorial services will be held on Monday, July 16, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. in the Jack Funeral Home with burial in the Lincoln Cemetery both in Whitehall.

Friends may call one hour prior to the service.

George N Garbers, 85 passed away January 15 and Wilma G Garbers, 92 passed away May 13.

Graveside services with Military Honors for George and Wilma Garbers will be Saturday, July 21st at 1 pm at Riverside Cemetary in Black River Falls.
